Diana Catchpole is an illustrator and printmaker based in the countryside of South Cambridgeshire. Diana studied illustration at the Cambridge School of Art back in the early 80’s, then went on to illustrate children’s books for many years. Since discovering printmaking, Diana’s career took a different direction, with influences from earlier working days. These have carried over into my her most recent work which you find on her collaboration with The Matchbox Maker which are inspired by her surroundings, the countryside and the wonderful animals that inhabit it. There is a narrative behind every print that Diana creates. She likes to bring a sense of wonder and gentle humour to her work with a leaning towards the Fantastical.
