Our match sticks are made from responsibly sourced wood from fast growing poplar trees. These trees are generally harvested after a 10-20 year growth period for short rotation forestry (SRF) using the coppicing method, which involves cutting the tree back to its base to promote new growth for repeated harvests. This an eco-friendly cycle which ensures the ongoing habitat these trees provide along with their part in the ecosystem is retained.
